Notes and Related Links for Episode 6:
Lee and Jake are moderating community-focused discussions at upcoming conferences (Community 2.0 and SWSW, respectively) and have a plan for involving the attendees through having audience members dramatize community personas. Examples are the "Concerned CEO" or the "Disruptive Community Member". This plan provided the backdrop for the discussion, which focused on these subjects:
- Working with CEOs and company leadership regarding community ROI
- How to get started with small successes in community projects
- Community as process as opposed to a deliverable
- Working with product managers on new communities - how blogging or community participation fits into a busy schedule
- Use of events and historical successes as means of relating community value
- Working with vocal and sometimes disruptive community members
Chris will also be participating in a panel discussion at Community 2.0 called: Community, Self Organization & Governance - Roles & Rules.
